Tell us about your background
I started my career as a journalist in my native country Finland. Since moving to London, I have worked in different communications roles mainly with cultural and human rights organisations. I am also an occasional runner, keen baker and a book-lover. In 2015 I graduated with a master's degree in Comparative Literature from University College London.
What is your role working with See Change Films?
I coordinate different film production and training projects, support developing and implementing our communications work and act as a link between the See Change Team, clients and other stakeholders.
Why did you get involved with See Change Films?
I love the way See Change Films combines cinematic storytelling and advocating for social change. I was also impressed by the dedication and enthusiasm that everyone at See Change Films showed – it immediately felt like the kind of organisation that I wanted to work for.
If you could change one thing what would it be?
I hope that whilst living in a world that at times seems increasingly xenophobic and hostile, everyone would get treated as a human being. That, to me, means the right to be treated with respect and dignity.
