Tell us about your background
I grew up in rural South Africa, my parents were mission teachers in schools across Africa. Seeing the work of my parents gave me a real appreciation for the capacity of education to change lives.

I've spent the last 25 years as a venture capitalist and have funded over 30 start-ups, helping them to grow and prosper.

What is your role working with See Change Films?
I am the Chairman of the board. I work closely with Helen, acting as a sounding board and helping See Change Films to achieve its goals as a charity. I've never worked in this particular area of social change before and I am inspired by the work we do to help disadvantaged people - particularly the work we do with young people.

Why did you get involved with See Change Films
I was really impressed by Helen’s passion for social change. I saw how See Change Films achieves change through training people in communication and story telling. It's this passion for social change that drives the organisation and it is what makes it successful.

If you could change one thing what would it be?
What I've learned through my work with See Change Films is that a joyful approach to life does not come from circumstance but, rather, from intent. If I could change one thing in this world it would be to share this message, that circumstance doesn't dictate your future, the intent and the way in which you live your life does.
